The program works with the primary school curriculum to teach children about making healthy choices. The pupils learn about a new healthy food mainly vegetables every week through an interactive story, science experiment, recipe and worksheet. The program launched at the beginning of 2014 and is in use in many schools throughout the lower north island.

I had a very exciting day yesterday with the long awaited arrival of 1000 copies of my very first children’s book ‘Catch that fly!‘ I received a phone call from the courier at about 1.30pm saying they would be there in 20mins. I jumped on my bike and roared down the road to the drop off point (First Star Communications, thanks again) only to find a massive pallet sitting on the footpath. So the 3 men and I split it up and carried 50 boxes up the flight of stairs, where they crowded the entrance way in a massive cardboard wall. I then jumped back on my bike and zoomed home to grab the car. I went back and with the help of my two lovely sisters we carried the 50 boxes down the stairs and loaded them into my car. With my car ridding extra low I managed to drive home without too much damage. I then realised I would have to get them all out of my car and up another flight of stairs to my living room! I decided to let them sit there a few hours until my boyfriend got home and gave me a hand. Then finally my books made it to my living room where they are currently safe and sound. Now I must find nice homes for each and every one of them.
